Description

I’ve had this little wall art piece for years – it’s one of those things I picked up at a vintage market and just never sold. It’s a tiny woven rug, like something you’d find in an old textile shop, with a floral and geometric design in terracotta, cream, red, and olive green. The pattern is detailed, with borders and a fringe at both ends, which gives it a nice handmade feel.

It’s framed in a vintage gold gilt wooden frame, held securely under glass. The back is mounted to a board so it stays flat and doesn’t wobble when you hang it.

It’s not perfect – the rug has a bit of fading, especially in the edges, and the paper backing shows some wear and a few tiny tears. The frame has a few scuffs, but it’s solid and still holds up. The glass is clean and clear.

I’ve been using it in my living room for ages, and it’s become a little piece of character in the space. It fits really well in a boho or traditional style room, and I’m not sure where else I’d hang it.

It’s from blacon, City of Chester – I’ve been keeping it there for a while now. I’m just letting it go because I’ve moved and don’t have room for it anymore. It’s worth £45 if you're thinking about buying, but I’m not advertising it as something fancy – just something I’ve kept around and now want to share.
