Description

So, I’ve been living in this flat for a few months now and honestly, it’s been a real good fit for me. I moved into Oriel House a few months ago and I’m sharing it with a friend — it’s a two-bedroom, fully furnished apartment in a historic Grade II-listed building on Sheep Street, in the heart of cranleigh, Waverley.

The place is actually the show flat — it’s clean, well-designed, and feels really lived-in without being too cluttered. The open-plan kitchen and living area has wood-effect flooring that’s really warm underfoot, and the kitchen has a fridge freezer, washing machine, dryer, and a proper oven, hob, kettle, and toaster — all set up and ready to go. There’s a smart TV, a 3-piece sofa, a dining table with chairs, and a coffee table. I’ve kept all the basics in place, like cutlery and kitchenware, so it’s not like I had to start from scratch.

The bedrooms are both quite spacious — one’s a super king, the other a king-sized bed, both with memory foam mattresses. There’s built-in wardrobes, bedside tables, wall lights, USB charging sockets, and good carpet. The bathroom is solid too — tiled from floor to ceiling, with a bath, sink with storage, anti-fog mirror, and ceramic flooring.

I’ve got electric radiators in each room with thermostats, and hot water from an electric cylinder. I’ve got a vacuum, iron, and ironing board too — all packed away in a storage cupboard.

The location is solid: just a 2-minute walk to the town centre, 12 minutes to the hospital, 15 minutes to the university, and 12 minutes to Northampton train station (which means I can get to London Euston in under an hour). It’s easy to get around — M1, A45, A428, and other roads are all nearby.

I’ve got a fibre optic broadband line (1000mbps) already installed — super fast — and the electricity and water are both ready to set up in my name. I’ve got to do the bills myself though — no rent included.

Parking is a bit of a thing — I’ve got a private parking spot in the building if I need it, or I can get a council permit for around £33 a month. There’s also secure bike storage right inside the building on the lower ground floor.

I’m not taking pets, no smoking, and it’s family-friendly — just a quiet, calm space. The tenancy is for a minimum of 12 months, and I’ve got a 5-week deposit.

I’ve been using it as a student-friendly place — it’s great for students or anyone who wants a central, convenient spot with everything on hand.

If you’re thinking of checking it out, I’d be happy to show you around — I can do a quick call or even a virtual viewing. Just message me or call with your number, and I’ll get back to you.

It’s available from 14 September 2025, and I’ve kept it in great shape — no major issues, just a solid, comfortable place.

No agent fees — just me, the flat, and a few details.

If you’re in the area and interested, let me know — I don’t want anyone to miss out on it.
