Skoda Octavia Estate 2005 Manual 2.0 TDI
Description
So this car’s been with me for a few years now — bought it in July 2023, and it’s been running solid since. It’s a 2005 Skoda Octavia Estate, 2.0 TDI with a 6-speed manual, and the engine’s a bit rough at idle sometimes — that’s the 140bhp BKD unit — but it’s still got plenty of power and drives smoothly through all the gears. I’ve had it serviced regularly, and it’s got a MOT until December 2025, so it’s still in good shape legally.I’ve done a bit of work on it — replaced the throttle body, rear brakes (pads, callipers, pipes), drop links, and put new front tyres on for the last MOT. Also cleaned the pollen filter and aircon a few months back. The interior has some age-related scuffs and a few bits of trim broken, but honestly, it’s not bad for a 20-year-old car.
It’s currently SORNED and on private land in Purfleet, London Road — so no test drive possible, but you can start it and drive it around the driveway. I can show you first and reverse gear, which is all I’ve got to offer for a real hands-on check.
I’ve been a non-smoking driver, so it’s been kept fairly clean. I’ve kept a few spare bits in case anyone needs them. The car has 142,827 miles, and it’s been great for daily use — even if it doesn’t have a 7-seater, I’d still be driving it if it wasn’t for that.
It’s been sitting in the garage for a while, and I’ve been meaning to get it serviced — oil change is the next thing on the list. Still, it runs well, gets good mileage, and I’m pretty confident it’ll last a while if looked after.
Purfleet, London Road — from someone who’s just decided to move on. Price’s £900, but I’m not saying that in the title. Just thought I’d share it.
