Description

So, I’ve been driving this 2015 BMW 5 Series 535d M Sport for just over a decade now — and honestly, it’s still one of the most reliable and comfortable cars I’ve ever owned. It’s a diesel, so it’s not flashy, but it’s got a real presence. The black exterior with Oyster leather and black interior looks sharp, and the M Sport bits — like the sportier suspension and sharper stance — give it a bit more edge without losing the smoothness of a proper executive saloon.

It’s had 89,870 miles on it, which isn’t bad at all, and I’ve had it serviced four times — the last one was in June 2023 at 77,057 miles. Nothing’s been ignored, and it’s kept pretty well maintained. The 3.0L twin-turbo diesel engine is still punchy, especially when you need to get out of a slow lane or take a sharp turn — it’s got that torque without being loud or harsh. I’ve never had to worry about it pulling or struggling, even on long trips.

Inside, it’s got loads of smart features: cruise control with brake function, parking sensors front and back, heated front seats, and a decent navigation system with business-level updates. I use the Drive Performance Control a lot — I switch between ECO and Sport modes depending on the day. On weekends, I like to go full sport, and the car just feels alive. The 18-inch alloy wheels are a nice touch, and the interior feels polished — leather, wood trim, and that little touch of chrome on the kidney grilles give it a premium feel.

I’ve used it for everything — commuting, weekend drives, even long motorway trips — and it handles every situation without complaint. It’s not a sports car, but it doesn’t feel like a boring saloon either. It’s got that balance of comfort and performance that makes you forget you’re in a car.

It’s currently based in Ferryside, Carmarthenshire, and I’m happy to meet up or arrange a view if you’re interested. I’ve kept it well cared for and it’s been stored properly, so it’s in solid shape. If you’re looking for a solid, reliable, and well-equipped executive car that doesn’t need a lot of fuss — this one’s been a real joy to drive and maintain.

Price is £10,980 — I’m not going to lie, that’s a fair bit for a car this age, but it’s been well looked after, and I’m confident it’ll serve you well.

If you’re thinking about it, I’m happy to chat — no pressure, just a real car, real use, real value.
