TT/Triathlon Trek Speed Concept Seven Series (Unisex - Medium)
Description
I’ve had this Trek Speed Concept Seven for a few years now and it’s been a solid workhorse for training and short races. It’s a medium frame – fits people around 5’5 to 5’10, 165–177cm – and I’ve kept it pretty much as it came out of the box, just with a few tweaks for better handling and comfort.I swapped in the Campagnola Scirocco wheelset (35mm), which feels light and rolls smoothly. The tyres are brand new Michelin Power Time Trial – zero miles, no wear – so it’s fresh and puncture-resistant.
I’ve got the ISM saddle with a rear mount for bottle and tube support, and Swiss stop yellow brake blocks for a clean, reliable stop.
Some of the mods I’ve done:
- TT bars for a more upright riding position
- Inline seat post bracket for easier access
- Changed the bar tape to grip strips on the risers and hoods – much easier to hold when it’s wet or slippery
Also have the extra TT bar riser kit (spacers, nuts, bolts), brand new elbow pads, original Bont TT bars, and the original 10-speed SRAM cassette (12-25) plus the seat offset bracket.
It’s been well-maintained and still runs great. I’m moving to Barton-on-Sea, New Forest, so it’s time to find a new home. I’m not charging a lot – £765 – but it’s a solid bike with a good mix of original parts and practical upgrades. If you're into triathlon or time-trial riding, this one might be your kind of setup.
