This palm has been sitting in the same 700-litre pot for about 15 to 20 years now, and honestly, you won’t see anything like it in garden centres or nurseries. It’s a solid, thick-trunked Trachycarpus Fortunei – massive, evergreen, and never gets bugs or fungal issues. I’ve had it properly looked after, and it’s still thriving, even though it’s been in the same pot for so long. It’s not going anywhere, but I’m reworking my front garden layout and need to make space. It’s currently in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, and I’d need a lorry or van with a hiab or crane to move it – that’s the reality of getting it out. Collection from Surbiton.
