I’m selling my 2020 Volkswagen Polo 1.0 EVO SE hatchback – it’s been a solid daily driver for me over the last few years, and I’ve really liked how easy it is to park and handle in the city. It’s got a clean service history with six recorded services, which means it’s been looked after properly. The 1.0-litre petrol engine is efficient, gets great fuel economy, and sits in a low insurance group – so it’s not expensive to run or maintain.

Inside, it’s got Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, DAB radio, and a multifunction steering wheel – so I can play music, take calls, and use navigation without fiddling with the buttons. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable, and the Start/Stop feature helps save a bit of fuel when idling in traffic. The steering is light and the gearshift is straightforward, even if it’s manual – which I still like.

It’s a compact car, but the cabin space is surprisingly roomy, and the boot is practical for groceries or weekend trips. I’ve kept it pretty tidy – the seats are clean, no major dents, and everything works as it should. The alloy wheels are 15-inch, and there’s a decent amount of tech under the skin – things like ABS, ESC, front assist, and airbags, which gives it good safety features.

I live in Keighley, Long Lee now, and I’ve kept it in a good state through the years. It’s been a reliable workhorse for commuting and short trips, and I’ve never had any major issues. It’s not flashy, but it’s dependable and cost-effective – which is exactly what I wanted from a daily driver.

I’ve only ever had it serviced at authorised dealerships, and it’s been checked properly. I’m not selling it because I need a bigger car or a newer model – it just feels like it’s time to move on.
