This Tiguan has a solid history of servicing and maintenance, which I’ve kept pretty consistent over the years. The cambelt was done twice — first at 54k miles in 2015, then again at 85k miles in 2020. I’ve always been careful with it, and that’s one of the reasons it’s still running smoothly.

It’s been through the VW main dealer service points a few times — from just under 10k miles right through to over 69k — and I’ve kept detailed records of all the visits. After that, it went to Surlinham Garage, where they’ve looked after it regularly since 2018. The last service was in April 2025 at just over 107k miles — so it’s been well looked after and hasn’t skipped a beat.

One thing I noticed early on was the safety belt pretensioners — they’re all working fine and were checked during a recent inspection. The car’s been used fairly regularly over the years but never pushed to the limit.

I live in Llanrwst, Conwy now, so it’s a bit of a change from where I originally lived — but I’m happy to keep it in good hands. It’s a reliable, practical estate with a diesel engine, and it’s been great for weekend trips and family use.
