Description

Got this old Gibson Les Paul Junior from 1960 sitting in my barnstaple shed — it’s been in the family for years and I’ve just decided to part with it.

It’s a cherry finish, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fretboard with 22 frets — refretted back in the day, and the 24.75" scale is solid. The original P90 pickup and pots are still in place, and it’s got that classic Les Paul Junior vibe. I swapped out the bridge with a Gotoh wraparound, and the tuners were replaced too — the old holes were a bit flimsy, so I had the headstock reinforced and resprayed. The serial number (0 9261) was reapplied by hand during the work, which I’ve kept a note of just in case.

The frets are about 80% of their life left, and the electronics work just fine. Body depth is 1.75", weighs in at 7lbs 9.7oz. It’s been well cared for over the years — no major dents or damage, just a bit of wear around the edges.

No original hard case, just a non-original one. I’ve kept it in the barnstaple area for decades, and it’s been a solid companion through the years. It’s a real piece of guitar history, and I’m happy to let it go — I’ve actually been thinking about getting into something more modern, so it’s time to make room.
