BMW X3 Estate 2006 Manual 2.0L Diesel 5-door
Description
So I’ve been keeping this old BMW X3 in Liskeard, Cornwall for a few years now — it’s not flashy, but it’s solid. It’s a 2006 model, diesel, 2.0 litre, manual — nothing fancy, just a reliable workhorse.I got it in 2006, and I’ve done a lot of work on it over the years. Full MOT every year, and I’ve spent well over £100 on it — mostly on the engine and mechanical bits. The front grill was cleaned and the engine was steam-cleaned, and I’ve had the timing belt and water pump replaced. Also swapped out the drive belt and pulley wheel — all the rear tyres, pads, discs, and dust shields were fresh too.
I replaced the handbrake cables, both front and rear wiper motors with new Bosch blades, and upgraded to a heavy-duty Exide battery. The wheels have chrome bolts and dust caps, and I’ve got a new tailpipe, badges, and the stereo fascia — the heater one too.
The seats have new covers, and there’s a full boot liner in case you’ve got a dog or just want to keep things tidy. No lights on the dash — it’s clean and runs perfectly. It’s a diesel, so it’s not going to do anything flashy, but it’s reliable and gets you where you need to go.
I’ve been using it mostly for local trips around Cornwall — not a daily driver, but it’s been dependable. It’s not a show car, but if you’re looking for a solid, low-maintenance diesel estate with a bit of character, this one’s been well looked after.
It’s currently parked in Liskeard, Cornwall — easy to see if you’re around. Price is £1,665 — I’ll give it a bit of a walk-through if you’re interested.
