Got this old Fiesta from Nairn, Highland – it’s a solid 1.0 EcoBoost Zetec S with just £20 road tax, which feels a bit odd given how much it’s been driven, but I’ve kept it well looked after. It’s a black edition, so it looks sharp with all the body-colour details – rear spoiler, rocker mouldings, tailgate handle, and those red roof and mirror caps. The paint’s metallic, and the glass is tinted, which helps keep it cool in the summer.

Inside it’s got cloth upholstery with red stitching on the floor mats and seats, leather steering wheel and gear knob, and a bit of a sports feel with the sports seats, pedals, and suspension. All the basics are there: aircon, Bluetooth, USB, CD/aux, and a trip computer. The seats are fully adjustable, the mirrors are electric with heated elements, and the windows are one-touch. I’ve got both remote keys, so no fumbling around.

It’s had a full service and MOT (1 year, valid), and all the bits that weren’t serviceable have been replaced. It’s only had one previous owner, which means it’s been kept fairly simple. The only thing I’ve not touched is the glovebox – it still has a bit of the original trim, but it’s been cleaned and kept tidy.

I’ve actually used it quite a bit around the Highlands, so it’s been on decent roads, but it’s always been well maintained. The wheels are 17-inch black alloys, and it has a quickclear heated windscreen – useful when it’s wet. There’s also a load light, ambient lighting, and even a rear seat that folds 60/40.

It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable, practical, and has all the tech you’d expect from a modern Fiesta. I’m not selling it for a lot – it’s £4,495.50 – but it’s a solid car for getting around.
