I’ve had this Ford Focus for a few months now, and I’m happy with it — it’s been a solid daily driver. The 1.0 EcoBoost engine is smooth and efficient, not too flashy but plenty enough for city driving and weekend trips. It’s got that slightly SUV-inspired look with the raised ride height and body cladding, but it still handles like a proper Focus — sharp, responsive, and not too heavy.

Inside, the cabin is clean and easy to use — the big 13.2-inch touchscreen with Ford SYNC 4 is handy, especially with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. I use the lane keep assist and pre-collision braking all the time, and it’s actually pretty reassuring. The heated windscreen and rear window are a real plus in the winter, and the heated seats and one-touch windows make it comfortable even when it’s a bit chilly.

It’s a 5-door, so getting in and out is easy, and the boot’s not too small — plenty for groceries or a couple of weekend gear. I’ve driven it all over the Highlands, from Beauly to the coast, and it’s held up well.
