2000 Bailey Pageant Imperial 2 Berth Caravan

Description

So, I’ve had this 2000 Bailey Pageant Imperial for a few years now and it’s been stored pretty much untouched since I got it. It’s a solid, well-maintained caravan with a bit of character and a lot of practical stuff inside.

It’s got a motor mover with remote control, two mirror extensions to fit your car, and a weighing device so you don’t overload the tow bar. The tyres are all new — including the spare — and I’ve had a few good runs with them. There’s a front locker with two gas bottles, an awning with side skirts and some wind breaks, and an aluminium step that makes getting in and out easier.

Inside, there’s a 40-litre aqua-roll with a handle and a built-in pump to connect to the van’s water input. I’ve got a wastemaster grey water trolley with hoses and a 240V hook-up cable with a 13A domestic adapter. There’s also an ALKO towing damper and anti-theft device, which I’ve kept for peace of mind.

The kitchen has a full-size gas cooker with four rings and an Electrolux three-way fridge — I haven’t actually used the gas bit yet, so it’s still in good shape. The upholstery and curtains were fully renewed by the previous owners, so it looks nice and feels comfortable.

There’s a bathroom with a Thetford chemical toilet, a washbasin, and a shower cubicle — but it’s not sealed, so you can’t really use it as a shower. There’s a nearly full-height wardrobe too.

I’ve had a bit of a chat with Bailey (the manufacturer), and they don’t have the original manual, but they sent me an electronic copy of the 2002 version — which is almost identical — and I’ll send that along to the buyer.

There’s a small bit of damage at the end of the cupboard near the door — it’s been covered over by a previous owner, so it’s not a big deal. Photos are included.

P.S. It’s worth noting I’ve never actually driven it long distances, so it’s mostly been stored. But it’s in good shape, and I’m happy to share it with someone who might find it useful. The price is £1,980 — if that’s something you’re considering, I can talk through it.
