2009 Mini Cooper R56 JCW
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this little gem on the island of Jura, The Long Road, for a while now. It’s a 2009 Mini Cooper R56 JCW — chilli red, like a proper retro piece of kit. Got 111k miles on it, but it’s been properly looked after. Full service history, two keys, HPI clear, V5 valid, MOT valid — all the usual stuff.I’ve done a proper chain and pump job, shaft seal, thermostat, and the clutch was rebuilt — three-piece front and centre section too. Front and centre bits are all new. There’s a mountain of receipts and repair notes, honestly — I’ve spent a fair bit of cash over the years on engine work, rebuilds, and all the little bits.
It’s got the full JCW kit — exhaust, intake, gear knob, steering wheel, carbon fibre scoop, and those big JCW brakes. Got a Stage 1 remap, Harman and Kardon sound system, boost and water temp gauges, heated windscreen, rear parking sensors, and an upgraded coil pack. Seats are half-leather — comfy, not flashy.
There’s a bit of peel on the passenger side from a jet wash, but that’s about it. Otherwise, it’s clean and solid. I’ve driven it a lot, and it runs like a dream. Just a bit of a character, but really reliable.
I’m not selling it to anyone who doesn’t know how to drive a Mini — or who’s not into the detail. But if you’re into classic little cars with real parts and a history, this one’s been loved and taken care of. It’s not flashy, but it’s got soul.
