Description
This old writing desk is a real gem – it’s a solid Georgian piece, all original, no fakes or fixes. It’s stood up straight for decades, no warping or twisting, and the joints are tight. I’ve kept it as it is, just like it was found, so you can see the real character of it.On the top, there’s a bit of fading along the left edge – I’ve shown it in pics 5 and 6, and a few small marks in 7 and 8. Inside the drawers, there’s a bit of ink staining and pen marks, but those were covered over with lining paper years ago, so it’s not visible now. It’s not perfect, but it’s honest – exactly what it was when it came out of the old house.
