So, I’ve been looking after this 2014 Ford B-Max Zetec for the past few years — it’s been my go-to family car since 2017, and honestly, it’s never let me down. Finished in silver, it’s the TDCI version, which means it’s got that reliable diesel engine under the hood — smooth, efficient, and I’ve only ever managed about £20 a year in road tax.

It’s been the same owner since 2017, just me, and it’s been treated like a proper car — no rough handling, no shortcuts. The interior’s clean, the seats are still comfy, and it’s got all the bits you’d expect: air conditioning, alloy wheels, Bluetooth, CD player with AUX and USB, DAB radio, electric windows, power steering, remote central locking, and even sat-nav. I’ve never had to worry about the mechanics — it’s been reliable, fuel economy’s been solid, and it’s always been easy to drive, especially with kids around. It’s a bit of a classic in its way, but still very practical for a family.
