2022 Volkswagen Up! 1.0L 65PS R-Line 5-door Manual Hatchback
Description
This little Volkswagen Up! is a real gem — I bought it new in 2022 and have kept it well maintained since. It’s got that sharp R-Line styling with the black alloy wheels, triangle finish, and the front bumper badge that really gives it character. The paint’s clean, no dings, and it’s been parked mostly in the garden on the Isle of Colonsay, B8087 — so it’s seen a bit of weather but nothing too harsh.Inside, it’s tidy and functional. The 5-inch touchscreen is still responsive, and I’ve got Bluetooth, USB, DAB radio, and even a smartphone navigation setup. The climate control works manually, and the ambient lighting is nice — especially in the evenings. There’s a 12V socket in the centre console, cup holders front and back, and the dashpad is clean with a black cube upper piece.
I’ve kept the electric windows, heated mirrors, and the seat height adjustment — all still working. The front passenger has a vanity mirror, and there’s a sun visor with a ticket holder. The glovebox and headliner are in good shape, and the interior is kept pretty spotless.
It has fog lights, halogen headlights with LED daytime running lights, and a tyre pressure warning. The rear glass is about 65% tinted — good for privacy and heat blocking. The wheels are alloy with anti-theft bolts, and the mirrors are body-coloured.
I’ve also got a mobility kit and the air conditioning’s still in good order. It’s a manual, so it’s not flashy, but it’s practical, easy to drive, and handles well. I’ve been using it mostly for daily commutes and weekend trips around the island.
It’s not exactly a daily driver, but it’s a solid little car for what it is. The price is £8,730 — fair for a used R-Line with all the features. I’m not selling it fast, but if you’re looking for something reliable and stylish without the big price tag, this one’s worth a look.
If you’re local to the Isle of Colonsay or have a bit of a drive to get it, I’d be happy to meet up or send photos. No pressure, just sharing something I’ve actually used.
