So, I’ve been keeping this Elddis Autoquest 175 in Dingwall, Highland, for a while now — it’s basically my weekend getaway setup, and honestly, I’m ready to hand it over.

It’s a 2-bed motorhome, built on a Peugeot Boxer chassis with a 2.2L engine and a 6-speed manual — remapped to 190bhp, so it’s not just smooth, it’s actually fun to drive, especially on hills. The cab has air conditioning, cruise control, and a double rear camera, which is a real plus for safety.

The front has a nice open lounge with two side-facing bench sofas and two captains’ chairs — perfect for sitting back and relaxing or chatting with a partner. There’s also a fold-out table that’s handy for meals or snacks, and you can easily take it outside if you’re feeling adventurous.

Back in the kitchen, it’s well-equipped: oven, grill, 3 gas burners, microwave, sink with mixer tap, and a 3-way fridge with a removable freezer. The sleeping area’s a bit of a gem — the side sofas can make a big double bed or two singles, depending on how you want to use it.

And the back end? Oh, it’s a real standout. A spacious, well-designed washroom with a Thetford cassette toilet, vanity sink, and a separate shower — which is rare in most motorhomes. The space is actually generous, not cramped like some others.

It’s got a Whale gas-and-mains heating system, so hot water and warmth are covered. Plus, it comes with habitation air conditioning, which means you can chill out in summer or stay warm in winter — no matter where you’re parked.

Extras I’ve kept on board: solar panels, Wi-Fi, a Thule Omnistor 5200 (so you can secure gear), a 4m awning with a built-in canopy, and a made-to-measure Pro-TEX cover that’s included. There’s also a fixed safe and a lockdown security system — useful if you’re staying in a spot that’s not quite safe.

It’s had a new MOT in February 2025, no advisories, low mileage, and everything’s been well maintained. I’ve used it for a few trips over the years, so it’s not just sitting in a garage — it’s been driven and lived in.
