I’ve had this Mamas & Papas Sola 2 for a few years now and it’s been a real workhorse. It’s in great condition overall, not a lot of wear and tear. The lie-flat bassinet/carry cot fits from birth up to 15kg, comes with a solid mattress and has that retractable UPF50 hood — super useful for sun, wind, or rain. Once baby hits 15kg, you switch to the reclining sit-up seat, which can face either front or back, and has a little window so you can peek in when the hood’s up. I’ve used that a lot — it’s a nice little feature.

It also has a transparent raincover, two cup holders (you can only attach one at a time, so one’s just a spare), a safety bar for toys or games, and those warm, splash-proof mittens that clip onto the handlebar. Hands don’t get cold in winter — honestly, I’ve needed them more than I thought.

The pram has front and rear suspension, so it’s smooth and easy to steer. The handlebar adjusts in height, which helps with back and shoulder comfort. And it folds flat — fits perfectly in the boot. It weighs 10kg, so it’s not too heavy to carry around.

I’m moving to lanchester, County Durham and just realised I don’t need it anymore. It’s still in great shape, used but not abused. I’m keeping it for a few more months just in case, but if someone’s looking for a reliable, practical stroller, this is the one. Price is £135 — fair for what it is, and it’s been a real help through the early years.
