2008 Vauxhall Astra Convertible
Description
So, I’ve got this 2008 Vauxhall Astra convertible — it’s a manual, 1796cc, three-door thing, and it runs and drives just fine. I bought it new back in the day, loved it, but now it’s just not practical for me anymore. It’s been sitting for about a month, so the MOT is due on 1st September 2025. The roof doesn’t work — I think it’s just the motor, which would be about £30 to fix — but I’m not really bothered about that. The car’s had a new exhaust fitted at the start of the year, and I’ve got a full logbook to go with it.
I’ve had a Bluetooth/USB radio installed, and the alloy wheels are powder coated — they look nice, though I’m not sure if I’ll ever replace them (they’re worth about £500, but I don’t need them).
The rear driver’s side tyre was split, but I just pumped it up and it’s fine — it’s not actually split, just very close. The car started up perfectly, no dashboard lights on, so it’s not broken. Just needs four new tyres, four brake pads, and four brake discs.
I don’t really want to sell it — it’s just not where I’m going with my car now — but it’s not practical to keep around. Doesn’t have any fuel in it, so it’ll need to be towed.
I’m open to offers, but best one takes it. Full details and history are in the logbook. Ready to go as soon as someone’s willing to pick it up. Based in Godalming, Waverley.
