2004 Volkswagen LT 2.8 TDI 158bhp with Beavertail Body

So I’ve got this 2004 VW LT 2.8 TDI – it’s been in my family for 11 years, mostly used for work but always treated like a proper truck. I’ve kept it well looked after, no major issues, just regular maintenance over the years.

It’s got that classic Beavertail body, electric winch, long skids, side straps, and a tool locker. Recently had new LED lights on the back, loading lamps, and a roof warning beacon – all good to go. Cab’s a 3-seater, has a CD player, power steering, and runs smooth. No smoke, no bangs, starts up every time.

The engine’s a 2.8 TDI chain-drive setup – 158bhp – and it’s got a 3500kg gross weight, so you can drive it with a normal car licence. I just did a gearbox and rear axle oil service, replaced the auxiliary belt, front and rear brakes (discs and pads), new starter motor, four new tyres and a coolant pump. All good to go, no warning lights or unusual noises.

I’ve never had it in a garage or for long-term storage – it’s been on the road, used, but kept clean and maintained. I’ve actually just had a full walk-around video made if you’re interested – you can ask for it.
