Vitus Sommet VRS 2018 Enduro MTB

Description

So, I’ve had this Vitus Sommet VRS 2018 in medium size for a few years now — it’s been mostly sitting in the garage, not been ridden much since I finished my trail riding phase. It’s been properly sorted though — all the bearings were swapped out for MAX ones, and it’s only had a couple of rides since, so it’s still in great shape.

The fork’s a Rock Shox Lyrik Select with a charger damper, and the shock’s a Rock Shox Super Deluxe Select — solid setup for climbing and descending. Wheels are Spank Oozy 395+ trail, tubeless with Maxxis Shorty front and Aggressor rear — both tyres are still in good nick, plenty of tread left.

I swapped over to a Shimano Zee crank with a Hope 32t chainring, and the rear’s Shimano XT with Sunrace 50t cassette — chain’s brand new KMC, so no worries there. Dropper post is a Brand X Ascend, saddle’s a Nukeproof, and brakes are Sram Guide R and Hope floating discs (203 and 180mm) — both fairly new, still work fine.

Handlebar’s a Fun full-on, with an RSP stem and Odi waffle grips — not the most stylish, but it’s comfortable. Pedals are Superstar components, still usable, though I might replace them soon.

There’s a bit of scuffing from use — just a few stone chips under the frame — nothing major. Everything else is in top working order.

I’m based in Bovingdon, Dacorum, so it’s local pick-up only. I’m not selling it to go far — just getting rid of it since I’ve moved on. If you’re into trail riding or just want a solid, well-maintained enduro bike, it’s definitely worth a look. Price is £891, but I’m not going to advertise that — just thought I’d share it with someone who might actually use it.
