I’ve had this Indian CHIEFTAIN for a few years now – it’s been a solid workhorse on the road, especially around Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. The 4cc engine still runs smooth, and the sunset red metallic paint really stands out in the sunshine. I’ve been riding it regularly, mostly on coastal routes, and it’s become a real part of my routine.

I’ve kept it well maintained, and it’s been through a few proper service checks. The rider assist feature is handy, especially when you’re not in the mood for full throttle. It’s a classic Indian – that old-school feel, the smooth handling, and the way it holds a steady line.

I’m not selling it for a quick cash grab – I’ve actually been thinking about putting it in a long-term storage or maybe passing it on to someone who really gets what these bikes offer. I’m not a dealer, just a regular rider who’s been around the bike world for a while.

We’re based in Shanklin, Isle of Wight, and I’ve been working with Thor Motorcycles for years – they’ve been my go-to for service, parts, and advice. They’ve got a massive parts store for Indian, Norton, Triumph, and all the classics, and I’ve had a few rebuilds done there.

I’ve got a 24-month warranty on it through Thor – that’s standard for new Indian models, and they also offer 3 to 12 months on pre-owned bikes, depending on condition. If you’re thinking of buying, I can share more about that.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, Saturday 9am to 5:30pm. We take cash, cards, bank transfer, BACS – no hassle.
