Got this 2014 Jaguar XF R-Sport sitting in my driveway in Cowdenbeath, Fife – it’s a proper diesel, 4-door saloon with a 2.2-litre engine and automatic transmission. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid – the kind of car you’d trust on a long drive or a bit of a muddy track.

Inside, it’s got all the modern bits: 7-inch touchscreen with DAB radio, Bluetooth, sat nav, and a 250W sound system. The seats are comfortable, and there’s a lot of storage – front console, cupholders, map pockets, even a rear armrest. The seats have whiplash protection and electric adjustments for driver and passenger, plus heated rear window and some interior lighting that gives off a nice blue glow.

Safety-wise, it’s got ABS, airbags all around (including side curtains), electronic stability control, traction control, and even a pedestrian sensing system. The headlights are xenon with LED signature lights, and the steering is servo-assisted with a nice leather-wrapped wheel.

The wheels are 18-inch alloy Lyra, and it has a smart key with keyless start. I’ve had it checked recently – brakes, fluids, everything’s in good shape. There’s a rear parking aid with visual cues, and the boot has coat hooks and a power point.

I’m not looking to sell it fast – it’s been my daily driver for years and I’ve kept it well maintained. It’s a bit of a heavy car, but it handles well and runs quietly.
