Description

So, I’ve got this 2024 Peugeot 5008 GT SUV – it’s a hybrid, petrol-powered, all-round kind of thing, good for city drives and occasional long trips. It’s not flashy, but it’s got a lot of thoughtful little features you don’t always see.

Inside, the seats are comfy, the steering wheel is nice with that perforated leather and a GT emblem, and there’s a lot of ambient lighting – blue glow in the dash, door panels, and even the cupholders. The glove box lights up when you open it, and there’s a central armrest with a little butterfly opening. The dashboard and trim are satin chrome, which feels a bit premium without being over the top.

The tech side is solid – Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB radio, Bluetooth, voice commands, and a 3D navigation system. I use it a lot for navigation, especially when I’m driving around south-ayrshire, Scotland. There’s also a trip computer, parking sensors (front and rear), and even a heated rear windscreen with antenna. The headlights are full LED with fog mode, and there’s an audible warning if you leave them on.

Outdoors, it’s got 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels with diamond cut finish, roof bars, and body protectors at the doors. The trim is mostly black with some chrome touches – front wings, side details, and the rear cluster. The windows are dark tinted, which helps with glare, and the door handles are body-coloured.

It’s got a good balance of tech and practicality – USB ports in the rear console, a rear load area with sockets, and even a tyre repair kit. The seats are supportive, the headrests are height-adjustable, and the rear ones are retractable. I’ve used it for everything from weekend trips to daily commutes, and it’s been pretty reliable.

It’s a bit of a niche car, but I’m happy with how it’s turned out. I’ve had it for a few months now, and it’s been a solid addition to my collection. The price is £27,030.60 – not too bad for a hybrid SUV with this kind of detail.
