So, I’ve had this 2014 Golf for a few years now — it’s been through 10 services, last one done at 60,025 miles back in February 2025. It’s been well looked after, and honestly, it’s one of those cars that just feels put together — not flashy, but solid.

It’s a 1.4 TSI petrol with 122ps, paired with the DSG gearbox, which means it’s responsive without being too aggressive. The engine’s efficient, and the way it handles on the road — whether I’m in town or on the A55 — just works.

The exterior is Reflex Silver with 16-inch Toronto alloy wheels. Clean lines, chrome trim on the grille and bumpers, and body-coloured doors and mirrors. Not flashy, but it looks sharp when you’re driving it.

Inside, it’s got that SE trim feel — comfortable seats with height and lumbar adjustments, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, brushed stainless steel touches, and a bunch of storage spots you’d actually use: under-seat drawers, a cooled and lit glovebox, and a variable-height boot floor. It’s got loads of smart bits: cruise control, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, electric windows, and even a driver alert system. Safety features are solid — adaptive cruise, front assist with emergency braking, electronic differential lock, and all the airbags you’d expect. There’s also ISOFIX for kids’ seats and whiplash-optimised head restraints.

The boot’s practical — 60/40 split folding seats with load-through, rear cupholders, and plenty of storage. I’ve used it for everything from weekend trips to moving boxes.

I’m selling it because I’ve been looking at a new one and just wanted to get rid of it. It’s been reliable, mostly low-mileage, and I’ve kept it in good shape.
