Vintage Floral Side Table
Description
This side table is actually the kind of thing I’d have loved in my old bedroom — soft, warm, and full of character. It’s a vintage piece with a hand-painted blush pink floral design that’s bursting with roses, hydrangeas, and peonies, all sealed and protected. I did a little refurbishing myself — not a factory job, just me, a paintbrush, and a lot of patience. The wood base is solid, the legs are original turned legs with castors, and the edges are gilded with real gold leaf. It’s not just a table — it’s like a little piece of art that still works perfectly for a living room, entryway, or even a reading nook. It’s about 70cm tall, 79cm wide, and 74cm deep — not huge, but gives a real sense of space. The finish is satin, so it doesn’t look shiny or new, just lived-in and calm. I’ve kept it in my home in south-shields, South Tyneside, and it’s been sitting in a spot where it’s seen a lot of quiet moments — coffee mornings, book reading, just being still.
It’s worth £148.50, but I’m happy to take it to you if you’re local — collection in south-shields is easy, and I’ll do a small fee for deliveries outside the area. Honestly, it’s one of those things you don’t just buy — you feel it. And I’ve kept it in good shape, so it’ll last a long time.
