This old glass demijohn is a real piece of vintage glassware – clear, solid pressed glass with a nice embossed number 38 between the ring handles. It’s a 5-litre capacity jar, perfect for storing wine, beer, or fermenting stuff. I found it tucked away in a storage cupboard for years, so it’s been well preserved with no cracks or damage. It’s not flashy, but it’s sturdy and works well. I’ve kept it in my Folkestone, Folkestone and Hythe District shed for ages, just in case I ever wanted to try making something at home again.
