2016 Volkswagen up! Look up! 1.0L Petrol Manual Hatchback
Description
I’ve had this 2016 VW up! Look up! for a few years now and it’s been one of the most reliable little cars I’ve ever owned. It’s been just one owner from the start, and I’ve kept it well looked after — only 39,921 miles on the clock. I’ve done regular servicing every few years: 6, 11, 15, 17, 20, 23, 29, and finally a full service at 37,000 miles. The last one was done properly and it’s been ticking over smoothly ever since. It’s a 1.0-litre petrol engine, Euro 6 compliant, and has an MOT until March 2026 — so no worries about that. The air conditioning works well, which is a big plus for the summer heat. I’ve never had to replace the belts or anything major, and it’s been a real joy to drive — especially on the road or around town.
Fuel economy is excellent — I’m getting about 63 miles per gallon, which is way better than most hatchbacks in its class. It’s also got a low insurance group and low CO2 emissions, so it’s not just cheap to run, it’s actually kinder to the planet too.
I’m moving to Cowes on the Isle of Wight now and I’m not using it much anymore — it’s just sitting in the garage, so I’m letting it go. It’s a solid, practical car that’s been dependable through years of daily use.
If you’re looking for a no-frills, low-maintenance hatchback that actually gets good mileage and doesn’t cost a fortune to run, this one’s a solid option.
I’m based in Cowes, Isle of Wight, and I’m happy to chat if you’re interested — no pressure, just passing it on.
(Price is £5,845.50 — I’ll be honest, it’s not the cheapest car out there, but it’s been worth every penny of use I’ve had.)
P.S. I’ve had this car for years, and it’s been a real workhorse. It’s not flashy, but it does what it’s supposed to — quietly, reliably, and without drama.
