30lb Electric Outboard Motor
Description
Got this old-school electric outboard lying around in my freshwater, Isle of Wight shed. It’s a 30lb thrust, 5-speed thing — forwards and reverse, tilt and twist with a tiller lever lock. Comes with a 30" shaft and a quiet 9" two-blade prop. Runs off a 12V battery, so just plug it in and you’re good to go. The cable’s 2m long and the whole thing weighs 6kg.Used it mostly for little fishing trips and drifting around the quieter bits of the lake. Works fine, not fancy, but gets the job done. I’ve been using it for a few years now and it’s held up well.
If you’ve got a 12V battery lying around and you’re into small boats or just want to get out on the water with something simple, it might be worth a look. I’m not charging it up — it’s just sitting in the shed, waiting for someone to try it out. Price’s £58.50, but I’ll chat if you’re interested.
