Description

I’ve been keeping this 2020 Kia XCeed CRDi 2 in Fife, Scotland for a few years now, and it’s been a real workhorse for me. It’s a solid, well-maintained crossover with that clean Euro 6 compliance – no surprises when it comes to emissions or running costs. The 1.6-litre diesel engine isn’t flashy, but it’s efficient, and I’ve actually got it averaging around 52 mpg, which is better than most of the similar models I’ve seen.

Inside, it’s not just about looks – there’s Android Auto with voice control, so I can keep my hands on the wheel and just talk to it, which I’ve come to really rely on. Bluetooth with voice recognition and music streaming makes it easy to keep the tunes going without fumbling with my phone.

I’ve got the reversing camera and automatic headlight system, which have been a godsend when parking in tight spots or driving at night. The AC works well too, which is a big plus in Scotland’s weather.

Low insurance group and low CO2 mean it’s not just cheap to run – it’s actually one of the more sensible choices for daily driving. I’ve kept the safety belt pretensioners in good shape too.

It’s not flashy, but it does exactly what I need: reliable, economical, and easy to use. I’m parting ways with it now, but it’s been a solid companion over the years.
