So, I’ve got this 2017 VW Touran BlueMotion SEL — it’s a solid, practical MPV with a bit of everything. It’s not flashy, but it’s got real usability — good for families, or just anyone who needs a reliable, roomy vehicle.

It’s a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine with manual transmission, and it’s got a nice 56.5 MPG rating — pretty efficient for the class. The car’s been registered under HJ17NBF and has around 104,000 miles on it. I’ve only had it for a few years, and it’s been well looked after — two previous owners, both fairly sensible.

I’ve kept the keys with me (two of them), and the V5 is in order. It’s had a full 12-month MOT recently and has a solid service history — everything from brakes to suspension has been checked and maintained. Road tax is £195 a year, and it’s Euro 6 compliant, which means it’s up to date on emissions.

Inside, it’s got LED headlights, cruise control, sat-nav, and a DAB radio. The seats are quite comfy — front and second row seats are foldable, and the third row has two single seats that can be tucked flat into the luggage space. The back has head restraints, seat belts, and a folding table too.

The interior trim is gloss black, and there’s a decent amount of storage.

I bought it for about £8,995 back in the day — it’s been sitting in my garage in Pwllheli, Gwynedd, mostly quiet and just getting the job done. It’s been a reliable workhorse, and I’m not planning to sell it anytime soon — but if you’re looking for a practical, well-maintained MPV that doesn’t break the bank, this one might fit.
