Got these three rods sitting in my spare room in Bedlington, Northumberland — two Silstar 30lb rods and one Ron Thompson Beachcaster 12ft. Used mostly for fishing on the shore and small rivers, not a fancy setup. One of the Silstar rods got a bit of wear from regular use, but still works fine. The Beachcaster is solid and good for wading. All stored neatly, no damage, just sitting around waiting for someone to give it a try.
