2012 Volvo V60 Estate Manual Diesel
Description
So, I’ve been driving this 2012 Volvo V60 Estate for five years now, and it’s honestly been one of the most reliable cars I’ve ever owned. It’s been our family car through thick and thin, even taken us around Europe a few times — just never broken down, not once. It’s a D3 diesel with the 2-litre 5-cylinder engine, which I’ve always found to be more dependable than the bigger variants, especially when properly serviced. I’ve kept it in top shape with regular maintenance, and it’s had a full history from the main Volvo dealer all the way through to specialist servicing after 117,000 miles — with stamps to prove it.
Last year, I had new Brembo discs and pads up front, EBCs on the rear, and fresh Falken tyres on the front. The rear tyres are still in great shape, and the timing belt was replaced at 117k, so it’s got plenty of life left. I just did a full service and MOT — it’ll go until September 2026. Also had the auxiliary belt and tensioner replaced with receipts.
It’s completely stock, no mods, no mapping — just the original setup. The diesel engine runs smoother and is less stressed, which means it’s only £35 a year in tax. I’ve kept it clean and well looked after, so it’s one of the best examples I’ve seen for this spec.
It comes with full leather heated seats, dual climate control, rear parking sensors, sat-nav, factory Bluetooth, and an upgraded speaker system. All the features work perfectly. There’s also a full-sized spare wheel with the factory jacking kit.
Now, a few small things: only one key, some paint chips on the front (due to mileage), and the alloy centre has started to bubble — I’ll probably get that refinished when I get the chance.
I’ve owned it since 2019, only had two previous owners, and I’ve done about 60,000 miles in it — mostly family trips and local drives. I’m not in a rush to sell because I’m looking for a bigger car now, and I’ve been meaning to upgrade for a while.
The last MOT had a small advisory about headlights — I’d used glue on them while driving in Europe, but I’ve since fixed that.
It’s currently in Liphook, East Hampshire, and I’m happy to answer any questions. If you're serious about it, I’ll be uploading more photos this weekend when it’s been cleaned up.
P.S. If you’re sending silly offers, I’m not going to reply — this one’s been looked after, and I don’t want to rush it.
