Got this old wooden fire surround with a marble insert and hearth — it’s been in my family for years and I’ve used it in the living room a lot. The wood is slightly worn from years of use, but the marble still looks solid and the shape is nice and symmetrical. It’s not fancy, just a solid piece that adds warmth to a room. I’m keeping it for now because it’s a bit of a hassle to move, but it’s not in great shape to pass on.
