DeWalt DCD776 Combi Drill Driver
Description
I’ve had this DeWalt DCD776 for a few years now and it’s honestly one of the most reliable tools I’ve used. It’s cordless, brushless, and runs on 18V XR lithium-ion – no fiddly key needed, just twist the chuck and change bits in one hand. The spindle lock is a big win, especially when you’re doing a lot of screwdriving into wood or metal. It’s got 15 torque settings – from light to full power – and switches between drill, hammer drill, and even has a reverse function. The trigger is smart, so you don’t overdrive accidentally. The LED light has a delay feature, which is handy when working in tight spots or low light.
I use it for everything from DIY fixes to home projects, and it’s been solid through all sorts of jobs. The rubber grip feels good in your hand, and it’s not too heavy at just 1.4kg. The 13mm chuck handles most bits, and it can go up to 30mm in wood.
I didn’t buy the battery, so it’s not fully charged – but I’ve kept it well maintained and it’s still in good shape. I’ve only used it for personal projects, so it’s not been abused.
It’s in great condition and I’m moving to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, so I’m parting with it. It’s not the most expensive tool, but it’s been a real workhorse. If you're doing any DIY or home upgrades, it’s worth a look.
£45 – just a quick swap for someone who needs a solid, reliable drill driver.
