Got this old Ambassador chess set from my dad’s collection, and I’ve been meaning to part with it. It’s a solid wooden set — beech wood cabinet with a sculpted tray, and the pieces are carved from sycamore, which gives them a nice, warm feel. The board’s 21 inches, so it’s not tiny, and the side etchings add a bit of character. All the pieces match the board in style, and it’s still in its original box, though the cardboard is a bit worn — not a big deal, just a bit dusty inside. I’ve been playing it occasionally over the years, and it’s honestly one of those pieces you just can’t get tired of.
