Vintage 1970s Floral Armchair

I’ve had this armchair for years and finally decided to part with it — not because it’s broken, but because my new place in Stromness, Orkney Islands, just doesn’t have room for it. It’s a real 1970s piece with that bold floral print in warm browns, oranges, and cream — feels like something out of a retro dream. The shape is egg-like, super comfy, and the seat is deep, so you really sink into it. The back curves gently, like it’s holding you, and it rotates smoothly all the way around — super handy if you’re just lounging or watching a film.

It’s in good vintage condition — a bit worn at the edges, like it’s seen its fair share of family movie nights, but nothing that affects how it looks or feels. The wooden legs are solid, with brass caps that add a bit of polish. The fabric is original and still vibrant, no stains or holes — just a little bit of age, which I actually think makes it more characterful.

It fits right in with mid-century, boho, or eclectic decor — I’ve had it in my old London Fields flat and it always looked great there.
