Description
I’ve had this Yamaha DX21 for a few years now and it’s been a real gem. It can mix two voices — one from row A, one from row B — and has 128 internal voices stored in ROM, so you can just start playing right away or even make your own sounds. I originally got it and didn’t really look into it properly — when I first set it up at home, the keys were squeaking a bit. So I took it apart, removed all the keys, cleaned them out, and greased the guides. They were dry as dust, and once I did that, it’s been smooth ever since. I also swapped out the old soldered-in battery for a standard 2032 holder and battery — no more fiddling with exploding caps or tricky replacements. Now it’s easy to maintain and works like a dream. It’s still in great shape, just a little more hands-on than it looks at first glance. Currently sitting in Rosyth, Fife — if you're interested, I’m happy to chat.
