2008 Ducati Desmosedici RR

Got this bike in late August – it’s a 2008 Desmosedici RR, registration D16 RRX, and it’s just arrived at Manor Park Classics in lanchester, County Durham. It’s one of those rare pieces that’s been sitting in storage for a while, so it’s not been ridden much, but it’s in solid condition and has the original V5 document.

I found out about the auction through a friend who’s into classic bikes – the September 2025 event is happening at the Manor Park Classics venue, which is a real gem in the North West. They’ve got a big space, free storage before the sale, and even driving videos and photos to go with each lot.

The estimate is around £65k–£75k, with buyer’s premium adding 15% of the hammer price (plus a minimum £50 charge and VAT). I’ve seen the specs and it’s a genuine, well-documented model – not a modified or second-hand piece, just a clean example that’s been sitting in the right place for the right time.

I’d say it’s not a daily rider, but it’s a proper classic, and if you’re into that kind of thing, it’s a solid piece to have on the shelf or maybe even start riding again.

If you’re looking at it, I’d recommend checking it out in person – the viewing days are open a few weeks before the auction, and you can book appointments if needed. No guarantees on condition or provenance, so it’s best to see it yourself.

It’s not something I’m selling for a quick profit – I just wanted to get it into the right hands. If you’re serious about classic bikes, this one’s a real standout.
