Vintage Rock a Cha suit, 1980s wool double-breasted with pegged trousers

This suit was actually bought back in 1986 from Rock a Cha — the same brand that used to have a stall in Kensington Market. I remember going to their stand, and it was such a vibe back then. The company still exists, just not in the market anymore.

It’s a classic 2-piece Rock a Cha — double-breasted jacket and pegged trousers, definitely Prince of Wales check, 100% wool. Jacket is size 36, trousers are either 30 or 32 — I’ll need to double-check which one.

I wore this to a lot of clubs in the 80s — The Mud Club, The Wag, maybe Sol y Sombra, Café d’Paris, Heaven, and a few others. My memory’s a bit fuzzy now, but it was always a bit of a party scene.

It’s still in great shape overall. No stains, no odour — just a bit of wear from years of use. One cuff on the trousers has come undone, and there’s a tiny hole on the front of the jacket (you can see it in the photo). A dry clean would be great to bring it back to life.

I’m based in Prudhoe, Northumberland now, so it’s easy to collect if you’re in the UK. Postage would be about £8 depending on where you are. Cash or PayPal — no issues. I’ve listed it at £180, but I’ll be honest — I’d actually be happy to part with it for less if it’s a real keeper.

It’s not flashy, but it’s solid. If you’ve got a fondness for 80s music or vintage style, this might be a bit of a nostalgic pick-up.
