Found in an old chest at my place on hayling-island, north hayling — this lock and key are genuinely from the 1700s. The lock turns smoothly and the key fits perfectly, which is rare for something this old. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid and actually works. I picked it up from a family heirloom chest, and it’s been stored quietly for decades. No damage, just a bit dusty.
