Sevylor ‘Hudson’ 3 person inflatable kayak
Description
I’ve had this Sevylor Hudson kayak for a few years now, and it’s been mostly sitting in my garage in Rochford, Essex, since I bought it. I’ve only used it a couple of times with my family – two adults and one little one – and it’s held up really well. It’s the more stable one in the Sevylor range, which I’ve come to love for family outings on calm lakes or quiet rivers. The thing I like most is how flexible it is – you can easily switch it up from single to triple seating. The seats have inflatable bases that attach with Velcro to the floor, and the straps are adjustable so you can get a comfortable fit. The backrests are light and flexible, which makes it easier to sit and move around.
It has three chambers – one for the floor and one on each side – and the pump works with both valve types, so it’s handy for inflating both the kayak and the seats. There’s also a drain just above the waterline, which helps with spray that gets caught during a ride.
I’ve never actually tried it in white water, so I’m not sure how it handles that – but it’s definitely good for calm waters. Still, it’s been really reliable, and I’m happy to keep it for now, though I’ve been thinking about selling it. It’s been sitting in the garage, not been used much, and it’s in great shape. Price is £180 – just letting it go because I’ve got a new boat I’m looking at.
If you’re into family water activities and want something stable and easy to set up, this one’s worth a look. I’m not expecting much interest, but if you’re local to Rochford, Essex, and have some time on your hands, I’d be happy to chat.
