My dad’s old car — a 2017 Hyundai i10 Premium SE — is actually one of the best little hatchbacks I’ve ever seen. It’s been just one owner since new, and I’ve checked the service records — it’s been properly looked after, with a recent service done in March 2025 at 13,551 miles. Only 13,942 miles total, so it’s still got plenty of life left in it.

I bought it because it’s so reliable and practical — great for city driving and easy to park. The heated seats and heated steering wheel make mornings way more comfortable, especially when it’s chilly. The 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is actually pretty handy — you can use it like a phone, and there’s a satellite nav too, so no stress on journeys.

It’s got all the basics: climate control, Bluetooth, cruise control, parking sensors, and a full list of safety features — including airbags, ABS, ESP, and even hill-start assist. The alloy wheels and black B-pillar look nice, and the sunroof is electric, which I found really nice on sunny days.

The insurance group is low, which means it doesn’t cost much to insure — and I’ve got it with just £35 tax, which is a small price to pay. There’s no extra charges — the price includes a 6-month warranty, a minimum 6-month MOT, and an independent inspection before delivery.
