So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s a 2017 Porsche Macan GTS 5-door estate with the PDK gearbox and petrol engine. I bought it new, and honestly, it’s been a solid daily driver and a great weekend project.

It’s got that classic Porsche punch — 3.0L V6, four-wheel drive, and a proper drive feel that doesn’t feel like a big SUV. I love how it handles, especially on the twisty bits near Wingate, County Durham. The PDK is smooth, no lag, and the manual gear stick is still there if you want to go old-school.

Inside, it’s not flashy, but it’s comfortable. Three-zone climate control keeps things nice, even in the summer heat. The black bi-xenon headlights come on automatically, and there’s a welcome-home light feature — I’ve used it a few times and it’s a nice touch.

I’ve had it through a full AA inspection — they ran a 128-point check, road test, and everything passed. No major issues. The car has also had a full service history, and I’ve kept it well maintained.

The wheels are 20-inch RS Spyder design in satin black, and the trim is silver — clean, not flashy. There’s a lot of practical bits: electric windows, remote locking, cruise control, electric mirrors that fold and heat up, and even a folding centre armrest. The rear seats fold down easily, and there’s space for a couple of big bags or a small family.

I’ve kept it well, and it’s still running strong. The only thing I’d say is it’s a bit of a premium car, so it’s not cheap to maintain — but for what it does, it’s worth it.

I’m selling it because I’ve moved on to something simpler, and I’m not looking to drive it much anymore. It’s been a great companion through the years.
