2008 Vauxhall Astra 1.7 CDTi 16V Life 5-door Hatchback

So, I’ve been keeping this car for a while now – a 2008 Vauxhall Astra Life 1.7 CDTi, 5-door hatchback. It’s got a solid service history and I’ve had it serviced properly recently, so it’s running smooth and reliable.

It’s not flashy, but it’s got a good heart – the 1.7L diesel engine pulls well when you need it, and I’ve managed 58+ mpg on the road. Not a huge amount of miles (just over 109k), and it’s been looked after properly over the years.

The MOT runs until April 2026, and all the usual safety bits are there – ABS, power steering, electric windows, CD player, and even Bluetooth so I can pair my phone and play music or take calls without taking hands off the wheel.

I just had a full service done, and it’s in great shape inside and out for its age. The tyres are solid, four of them, and I’ve kept it in a low insurance group (13E), which means tax is only £107.25 a year – not bad.

I live in Kyle, East Ayrshire, so it’s right there if you’re local. I’m not looking to sell it fast – just passing it on if someone’s interested in a solid, dependable diesel hatchback that’s ready to drive.
