2025 MG HS 1.5 T-GDI Trophy 5-door hatchback

Description

So I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s one of those clean, modern MGs that just feels right. The 2025 MG HS Trophy with the 1.5 T-GDI engine and 5-door hatchback is actually quite solid under the skin, and it’s got a lot of smart tech for daily driving.

It’s got a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a virtual driver info display, which means you can keep your eyes on the road and still see navigation, speed, and fuel levels without taking your hands off the wheel. There’s full Android Auto and Apple CarPlay too — I use both, so that’s a real plus.

The 360 camera is handy for parking, especially when I’m trying to squeeze into tight spots. There’s also adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, and traffic jam assist — all the usual stuff you’d expect from a newer model. I’ve actually found myself using the lane departure warning and forward collision warning quite a bit when driving on the A897.

Inside, it’s got a good mix of comfort and practicality — heated front seats, 3-stage heating, a 60/40 foldable second row, and even a 3-seat bench. The rear has three headrests and three-point seatbelts, which is great for family trips. There’s also a 2nd row seat that folds flat, and plenty of storage — USB ports front and back, a couple of 12V sockets, and even a rear privacy glass.

The car’s got a lot of safety features — ABS, ESP, airbags all around, side curtain airbags, and even a tyre pressure monitor. I’ve never had any issues with the electronics, and the keyless entry and push-button start work flawlessly.
