Description

I’m parting with my 2021 Fiat 500 Lounge – it’s one of those little cars that just feels right. The 1.0-litre mild hybrid engine is quiet and efficient, getting around 53 mpg, which is a big plus for someone who doesn’t want to keep the tank full. It’s Euro 6 compliant, so no fuss with emissions checks.

Inside, the front seats have memory settings – nice if you’ve got a routine, like always leaning back or adjusting the angle. The 7-inch touchscreen is decent: Bluetooth, USB, DAB, and I can switch between Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without any hiccups. The cabin stays cool with air conditioning, and there’s rear parking sensors that make parking a bit less stressful.

It’s got low insurance group and low CO2, so it’s not just nice to look at – it’s actually cheaper to run and insure. I’ve driven it a fair bit, and it’s been reliable. The only thing I’m not doing with it is keeping it in the garage – it’s currently parked at corrour, The Road to the Isles.

I’ve been thinking about selling it because I’m swapping to something a bit more utilitarian, and it’s been a solid little car to have around. I’ve kept it well maintained, so it’s still in great shape. It’s not flashy, but it’s practical and kind of charming in a quiet way.

It’s worth noting that the price is £8,095.50 – not a lot to pay for a car that does what it’s supposed to. If you're looking for something easy to drive, low on running costs, and still has a bit of character, this might be the one.
