Maxell MXSP-SB3000 Soundbase TV Speaker
Description
Got this Maxell MXSP-SB3000 soundbase sitting under my TV for years now — it’s a solid 2.1 channel system with a 160W output (100W sub, two 30W front speakers), and it’s got that SRS WOW HD 3D audio tech. No remote though — lost it ages ago, so I’ve been using a universal remote. Still works great with TV, Blu-ray, consoles, tablets, phones, and even MP3 players. It has five digital inputs — three HDMI, one optical, one coaxial — plus two analogue (RCA and 3.5mm aux). There’s also an HDMI out with ARC, so it connects smoothly to your TV. And yes, it supports Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, so I can just throw my phone in and enjoy some tunes without cables.
The touch buttons on top are actually handy — easy to adjust volume and settings without fumbling. It’s a bit of a beast to move around, but fits neatly under the TV, and I’ve kept it clean and quiet in the corner.
I’m based at trimdon-station, County Durham, so if you’re in the area and want to pick it up, I can swing by and deliver it for a fiver — just let me know. Price is £36, but I’m not pushing it — just thought someone might find it useful.
