So, I’ve had this 2007 VW Passat for a few years now, and it’s been a real reliable workhorse. It’s sitting in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, and I’ve just had it properly sorted out.MOT’s valid until November 2026, so it’s got a clean run and no red flags. The car’s been kept well – only 77k miles, never had any warning lights, and no knocks or strange noises. It drives smooth and quiet, just like it should.
In August 2025, I had a few bits done to bring it up to scratch:
- Two new front tyres (both brand new)
- One new drop link
- One new rear spring
- Two new front wings – professionally painted (that cost me about £350)
And yeah, I fixed the rust issue that’s common on this model – it’s all sorted now.
It’s not got a single thing missing or needing work. Just ready to go. I’m not looking to sell it for a big profit, just passing it on to someone who’d actually use it every day.
